Fire Safety Week

We had a great day and wonderful weather to walk to the fire station!

What We Will Learn This Week…

Theme  - Farm

Letters – I & U

Color - Green

Shape- Square

Concepts: counting, feelings, sorting, vocabulary, and letter identification.

Vocabulary-I recently gave all of the students a vocabulary test.  I had several that need some extra help.  Please talk about pictures in the books that you read, when you are out shopping, or just in your daily routine.  Remember you are your child’s FIRST teacher!

We just keep working!

More activities on the Farm:

We learned Top, Middle, and Bottom using stop lights.

Making our own Wishy Washy books to read at home.

We made our own houses for the letter H.

Down on the Farm!

We read the book "Mrs. Wishy Washy's Farm" and learned why the animals want to stay on the farm!

The children worked on a farm puzzle....

We had a wonderful and fun week of space last week.  Now we are going to move on to the farm!

What We Will Learn This Week…

Theme  - Farm

Letters – H & T

Color - Red

Shape- Triangle

Concepts: counting, big, little, top, middle, bottom, and book skills.

Appropriate Clothes:  As the weather changes please send a jacket with your child and please put their name inside.  I would rather them have it and not need it.  We will be going outside unless it is raining or below freezing.

All About Space

This is what we learned today:

Learning letter recognition building our names into rockets.

Making craters on the moon.

Building a BIG space puzzle!

Making our own planets.

Doing space puzzles.

Playing in the "solar system" finding stars and planets.

Building a space station.

Playing at the light bright making stars.

We also learned the letter F today and the letter F sound.

We had a great day!  

Don't forget OPEN HOUSE tonight at 6:30-8:00!

Concepts: counting, rhyming, letter recognition, and name recognition.

Traffic flow info: We are going to start putting an orange cone on the sidewalk to show you where we will allow your child to be picked up.  When you reach the cone is when we will send your child to get in the car.  Thanks!

Same and Different

Today we learned what "same" and "different" means. You can use this video at home to play the same and different game.

 We also learned about the letter L. When we write the letter L we say "big line, little line". Here is a song we sang as well today to help us remember the sound of l.
