Dental Health Week

This last week we learned how to take care of our teeth and learned some great skills along the way!
We put numbers in order from 1-10.

We brushed our teeth after coloring them.

We played Dentist in the dramatic play center.

We made our own mouth of teeth and toothbrushes.

We practiced brushing teeth in the sand table using cut 2-liter bottles (molars) with shaving cream (toothpaste).

In the block center I let them play with a garage for the letter G.

We practiced writing dental words on white boards and the words themselves.

We also had Nurse Holly come and talk to us about taking care of our teeth.  We will also be going to the dentist (Dr. Effie's) on March 6th.

Winter and Community Helpers

We have started the year off working hard!  The first week back we did activities with snow and made snowmen.
Snowmen out of our names and puffy snowmen out of shaving cream and glue!

Equal parts of shaving cream and glue to create this master piece.

Following directions creating these snowmen by copying the example!

I love these products and how different they are!
In our class it's about the process and NOT the products!

Here are some winter stories we read.

This las week we started to learn about COMMUNITY HELPERS.Here are some of the community helpers we learned about:

Kathy Jays came and ready a story and shared what a LIBRARIAN does.

Miss Shelby talked to us about being a SECRETARY.

Lacy Gudicy came and talked to us about working in a RESTAURANT.

Mrs. Boxum came and talked to us about being a PRINCIPAL.
