Gingerbread Fun!

This week we did lots of fun Gingerbread activities:

We labeled the gingerbread parts and practiced writing our letters.

Cut apart the gingerbread puzzle and put it back together.

These two were excited about what they created!

This group was having a birthday party.

Thanksgiving Fun

I thought I would share some of our fun activities that we did last week to celebrate Thanksgiving.  I am sorry I would have done this sooner.  My family and I were blessed with a horrible stomach bug over our break.  We did have a great Thanksgiving and have enjoyed our family!

This is our book of thanks that we worked on:

We are thankful for knowing our shapes!

We are thankful we know our letters!

We also drew what we were thankful for!

Then we made pumpkin pie in a bag.  We talked about what a recipe was, how much of everything we needed, and how to do it.  Each child helped by mixing the bag for us.

Mrs. Evans this is good!

Yum!

It was also Mrs. Baehler's last day so we all made her a gift and gave her hugs! We are really going to miss her!

On a side note win or lose GO CHIEFS!

Thanksgiving Time!

First off I want to apologize for not posting in the last couple of weeks.  With conferences and just being busy I haven't gotten to it.  I wanted you all to know that Mrs. Baehler our classroom assistant will be taking a new job.  Her last day in our classroom is Tuesday, November 26th.  We will do something special for her on that day.  :-)  I have taught with her for 12 years now and I am very happy for her but also sad to see her go.  We made a great team and the kids love her, she will be greatly missed!

Here what's been going on in our classroom:

They had to follow directions and make it look like the middle one.  I think they did an awesome job!

Our journal page:  On Thanksgiving I......

Follow the directions to make a turkey!

Playing in moon sand.

Dressing the dolls.

Building with construction toys.

Drawing on the turkey.

Creating tee pees and turkeys.

Thank you for all of your support!  We had 100% attendance at conferences!
